What we keep, and what we forget

Most of it, we forget. That's on purpose.

What we forget

  • Chat. Messages are relayed to whoever is in the room and never written down. Close the room and they're gone — there is no history for us to read, hand over, or lose.
  • Your voice and camera. Karaoke audio, camera and screen share go between browsers directly. They don't pass through us and nothing is recorded.
  • Guests. A guest is a cookie and a nickname, and it expires.

What we keep

  • Your account: name, email, password (hashed), preferred language.
  • Your rooms and playlists — so they're still there tomorrow.
  • Play history, briefly, so the room can show what it just played.

Who else sees anything

YouTube does, because the video comes from them: their player runs in your browser and their terms and privacy policy apply to that part. We don't run advertising, we don't sell anything about you, and there is no third-party analytics on this site.

Getting rid of it

Ask us and we'll delete your account and everything attached to it. Deleting a room takes its queue, its history and its playlists with it.
