Using Kafumi

The short version, in the same voice as the rest of the app.

What this is

Kafumi is a free room where a few people watch and listen to YouTube at the same moment. We don't host any of it: the video streams from YouTube straight to your browser, exactly as it would on their site.

What we ask of you

  • Only queue things that are publicly available on YouTube.
  • Keep names, chat and karaoke kind. Rooms are small; it lands harder here.
  • Don't hammer the service or try to break it. There are rate limits, and they bite.
  • You're responsible for who you let into your room.

What we can do

We may remove a room or a queue item that breaks these terms or YouTube's, and we may do it without warning if someone is being harmed. We'd rather tell you first, and usually will.

Age

You need to be 13 or older to make an account. If you're younger, ask a parent to open the room.

No promises about uptime

This is a small service, offered as-is and free. It may be down for a while, and features may change. We won't lose your playlists on purpose, but keep anything you'd truly miss somewhere else too.
